We are in the middle of first grade. Recently I’ve decided that the best story is the one that my son is unable to write.
History is being made around him. I am not satisfied with his school curriculum not including major cultural current events such as Hillary and Obama running for President.
Even in 1st grade these ‘happenings’ should be woven into his education.
As a parent I am willing and able to fill in the blanks that our busy school system can not support. However I still need to cooperation of the school to make it stick.
